It all went according to Fred's plan. We had a full house, I'm glad no one else showed up. I may have to start limiting the field to a max of 18 so get your RSVPs in when the next invite comes out.

2007 Game 1

The Slate Is Clean

Game one of the new year is here. Let me know if you can make it.

Point gathering is changing a bit to reflect the number of people that are playing. Also there is one (1) bonus point for taking someone out, two (2) for taking out the previous years TOC winner and three (3) for the last winner. There is no last winner this time since this is the start of the year. Like last years first game the bounty is on the TOC winner. So that one is worth 5 points this year.

Also we are going to start right at 7. Positions and first deal will be set by an impartial independent party. If you have RSVP'd and are late your blinds will be put in. If you haven't RSVP'd and show up late you will start with 15k in chips instead of 20k and the late window will extend for the first round only.

I think we're going to change who gets into the final tourney this year also. Top 10 in points and/or finishing 1st in any of the 12 games.

I think everything else is the same. The host supplies snacks/drinks and we'll pitch in to order pizza if you want to. Same buy-in $30 and rake off for the final years tourney.

The silver lining

Viagra Timekeeper

We have a new clock

Game two seemed to go pretty well for some but not for others. I seemed to be getting pretty good cards, but not as good as Al. With that we have two new people at the final table.
